Hiring unlicensed contractor is  potentially dangerous. Report says that there is an  increasing number of unlicensed home improvement contractors who are offering good rates. But did you know that you could also be arrested for using an unlicensed contractor? So why fall in his bait? As a consumer, here are the signs that your contractor is illegal.

1.Unlicensed contractors often go door to door, claiming they “just finished a job down the street.”

2.Unlicensed contractors either neglect to pull construction permits or they ask you to do it for them. If you do, you are assuming liability for the project, including their mistakes.

3. If you see a license number in an ad, and it has a different number of letters, numerals and digits than all the other ads, it may be a fake license number.

4. Be wary if a contractor provides only a P.O. box or pager number. That may mean he doesn’t have roots in the community and plans to move on as soon as people start to complain.

    Hello,

I was reading over your blog and figured I’d email you to see if
it would be possible to post an article, a brief guide to be exact, on how to stain a
Masonite door. I also have another on the best way to choose an entry door to fit the home
and its owner. I feel that they artfully fit the theme of your blog and would be helpful
to your readers and other visitors. I appreciate your time, and if you have any other
questions, I’d be happy to answer them.
