Energy Efficient Lighting (Continued form the previous post)
White lighting is the optimal wavelength of light for working and general use but what about the mood lights you have around the light which is more attributed to the yellow glow of incandescent; don’t fret for CFL’s are now being produced in warm white and other colors to suit your tastes and moods. LED lighting on the other hand is more efficient and better for lighting due to their smaller footprint (meaning they can be placed where ordinary CFL’s wouldn’t fit, allowing better placement. The only problem with them, cost for they are quite steeply priced compared to CFL’s and incandescent ones. Remember those museums in Europe you always dream of seeing, well most of them are already using LED backlighting which has saved them a lot of money allowing them to maintain year-round lighting at a fraction of the cost.
